Climate
Chimbote is situated in a coastal desert area influenced by arid winds and on-shore fog. The city has two seasons:
Summer: - December – March/April
Winter: April/May – November (cloud cover most days without rain)
Chimbote’s climate is fairly uniform and comfortably warm year-round with an average daily temperature of 69°F/21°C. It gets colder at night so a sweater or jacket is recommended. In the average year there is no measurable amount of precipitation.
