Los Amigos is a faith-based organization dedicated to supporting programs that improve and transform the lives of the poor of Chimbote, Peru.

Mission Life
Fr. Jack Davis is the pastor of Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro (Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish), which is located within the diocese of Chimbote, Peru. The parish has several churches and chapels as well as parish-related programs and services This parish often is referred to as “Fr. Jack’s mission.” The diocese of Chimbote is part of the Archdiocese of Trujillo and the current bishop of Chimbote is Bishop Ángel Francisco Simón Piorno. Peru is predominantly a Catholic country and within the Trujilla Archdiocese (estimated population of 655,000 people), 570,000 are Catholic. Life within the Fr Jack’s parish is similar to many Catholic parishes, but for the poverty-stricken people that live there, it is often the only place where they find acceptance, social interaction, and most important, hope.
