Group Projects in Chimbote

While we encourage visitors to devote their first visits to simply witnessing life in Chimbote, some volunteer groups combine a short visit to Chimbote with a project that they have funded and planned before arriving for their visit. For example, a short-term volunteer group may raise money to purchase beds prior to a Chimbote visit, and then spend their visit delivering the beds to families who don’t have them. Or, a group may raise funds for building supplies so they can build a youth center. On occasion, the mission hosts medical volunteers who bring the necessary equipment and supplies to provide treatments in their areas of specialty.
